The Great Fiji Butterflyfish Count

The Econesian Society is an environmental group consisting of USP students studying at USP. The society came into existence early 2007 upon the return of student delegates who attended the 2007 Pacific Future Environmental Leaders Forum in Apia, Samoa and other interested students. The society aims to create general awareness on environmental issues that faces our region amongst USP students and staff.

The society has been involved in various campaigns and environmental activities organised by PACE-SD at USP and NGOs such as Live and Learn Environmental Education to help promote environmental awareness and also to allow members to develop skills of conducting various environmental activities and to gain a better understanding of environmental issues that we face today.
